Dan_Murphy's_Southern_Comfort
Over the past few months I've got to know Dan and go out and skate with him while working on his interview for FTK magazine. Dan is a rad guy he's pretty much down to skate whatever whenever. He's always hype at any session and always down to play a game a skate with Sturgil at the spot, and I would say 9 out of 10 he wins sorry Sturgil. Dan isn't no light weight at the bar either that dude can hold his own and he always has a great attitude toward everything. One thing I have notice about Dan is that he is 100 percent about everything he does, and what I mean is when he goes for a trick he goes all out he doesn't play around. I've seen him land a trick roll away from it. Then be like no not that one I can do that trick better than that. He'll go right back to trying the trick slamming, sticking it and not rolling away from it. I'm like Dan I got a good shot of the one you already landed, and then he says no one more try and then he lands it again. Big props Dan you KILL IT. So I look forward to skating and shooting more photos with Dan in the future for sure. Here are some of the photos from over the past few months. ENJOY!!!!

About a month or so ago I got to spend about a week with Reuben Pickle and Cameron Keene. It started off as a weekend trip to Raleigh me and Reuben took and that lead into them coming back to Mount Airy and staying with me for a couple of days after we left Raleigh. The whole time we were together Cameron and Reuben keep saying Kitty Cats and Titty Tatts Reuben Pickle and Cameron-Paul Keene 2010 road trip. Then they would MEOW back and fourth at each other for awhile. Needless to say the trip was awesome and funny as hell. Mount Airy ripper Joey Jones came out to ledge spot in town and got down with us one night. The ledge spot was built by Joey and Will Jackson and it's in front of Will's skate shop Canvas so if your ever up this way stop by and skate the ledge or checkout the shop. I recently had the chance to go out and shoot photos with Brett Abramsky and Conner Champion here's what went down. The reasons for the the two backsmith shots is because Conner wasn't stoked on the first one he landed with the roll away but you can see from the photos they are both very proper.ENJOY!!!!

If_You_Don't_Have_IT_YOUGOTTAGETTHAT!
YOUGOTTAGETTHAT! is a video that is featuring some of the East Coast's best skaters and their friends. Connor Champion, Mike Peterson, Dan Murphy, Bobby Worrest, Kyle Berard, Gilbert Crockett, Scotty Moore, Ricky Covach, Bob Reynolds, Tyler Tuffy, and last but not least Brett Abramsky all have parts in the video. Not only did Brett and Bob produce the video, but Brett filmed and edited as well. This video is awesome to me its like the East Coast version of the Tilt Mode Army. Through out the whole video they are having a blast skating and filming. To me that's what skating is all about having fun with all your friends that share that one common interest riding a skateboard. YOUGOTTAGETTHAT! is the follow up video of WHATHADHAPPENWUZ! so if you don't have either videos I suggest picking them both up. Can wait to see what TF Productions comes out with next. Both of these tricks below I shot can be seen in Brett's and Scotty's parts in the video. I'm really stoked on this video and all my friends skating nice work guys. Also check The Skateboard Mag issue's 73 and 74 issue 73 has an interview with Dan Murphy in it and issue 74 has a write up on the video and a sick photo of Brett in it. ENJOY!!!

AS_THE_HELLS_ANGELS_YELL!!!!!!!
Shot this photo Justin Brock a little while back in between the snow storms we were having you know we would all catch a few nice days in between and this was one of them. I tried my best to show how gnarly this spot was in this photo its "crazy", the bank is steep, rough, got ollie up on the curb at mach 3 speed, not to mention the flat bar is tall, traffic lots of traffic, because you start in the road and when come back into the bank your right back into traffic again. So the risk of getting hit by a car is high for sure. Not only is this spot all of these things but right where Justin was starting down the hill was in front of Willy's Bar which is pretty much the HELL's ANGEL's BAR and hangout. So while waiting for traffic and trying to get the trick a handful of what I'm guessing were HA's come out of the bar to see what's going on. They all get full into what's going down with beers in hand they yell GO GO GET IT GET IT MOUTHERFUCKER. So ENJOY!!!! because those guys did watching this go down.

Full_Pipe_???_KINDA???
Reuben Pickle has been calling me for weeks telling me how he has found this full pipe in Winston-Salem. He's like we got to go check this thing out its a water tower that has been turned over on its side. First, question I asked was how big is it?, and then is it possible to do anything in it? He was like yeah yeah its bigger than the full pipes in Raleigh. So at this point I was so stoked for the mission to find this thing clean it out and get some pics. Turns out that this thing is way smaller than the full pipes in Raleigh and way tighter and plus there was a big angle iron structure in the middle. So at this point I don't know what is going to happen or if anything is even possible in this thing. But we said to hell with it this is properly the only full pipe in Winston-Salem that we will ever find so we started cleaning it out. The whole time Reuben is telling me that he thinks he can carve over the bar would I want to shoot a photo of that hell yeah I want to shoot a photo of that. I thought he was crazy I didn't think there was anyway in hell he was going to make because this thing is so tight and at the point to make it over this bar your feet would have to go over vert. But never under estimate Reuben Pickle because he can always make something out of nothing. Big ups on this Reuben this shit was so sick glad I was there to capture it. ENJOY!!!
Jed_Shooter
Jed Shooter is an all around stand up and super guy. Really you can't say enough good things about this guy always down for anything, super positive attitude, hard work ethic, and loves skateboarding. And if you didn't know Jed is a PRO skateboarder but this guy also works a 40 plus hour work week and still finds the time to balance everything. Jed and his brother Chad have been killing and ripping North Carolina to shreds for over a decade now and they both continue this today. Most of the spots you skate today I'm sure Jed and Chad both had something to do with either finding the spot, building the spot, bondoing the cracks, cutting the knobs, or some other type of fabrication that needs to be done to the spot. I've looked up to Jed and his skating for most of my skateboarding life and today I can say through all of this we have became great friends. Jed has some of the best POP OUTS in the game right now every trick he does is proper. Thanks Jed for everything you've helped me accomplish and being a great friend. Sorry for no new updates in awhile but the holidays kicked my ass but I'm back and ready for 2010. First post of the new year is all about Cameron Keene aka CJ Walker, aka KNOX, etc. if you know Cameron, you know he has many alter ego's it just depends on what time of day it is or what mood he's in but either way he is hilarious. Cameron is the only person I know that looks like his pet him and his dog Ralphy are one in the same shit is ridiculous. Anyway here are some photos of Cameron Keene killing it to start off the new year. Always good times in Raleigh skating and hanging out with Cameron and everyone that lives at the Stabbin Cabin.
